Connecting ShipBob
How to connect ShipBob with a Personal Access Token so your ShipBob warehouse stock shows on the Inventory page, refreshed every hour.
On this page
ShipBob is available on Advanced.
Connecting ShipBob brings your ShipBob warehouse stock into Ordinary’s Inventory page, next to your Shopify and Amazon stock. The connection is read-only: Ordinary reads stock levels and never changes anything in ShipBob.
Before you start
- You’re on Advanced.
- You can create a Personal Access Token in ShipBob’s Developer Portal with inventory read access.
Connecting
- In ShipBob, open Developer Portal → Personal Access Tokens and create a token with inventory read access. Copy it.
- In Ordinary, go to Settings → Integrations Hub and click Connect on the ShipBob tile (“Real-time warehouse inventory levels”). This opens the Logistics settings page.
- On the ShipBob card, turn on Enable ShipBob integration.
- Paste the token into Personal Access Token and click Save.
The token is stored encrypted and shown masked after saving. The ShipBob tile then shows Connected.
What flows in
- Stock available to fulfil for each active ShipBob item, totalled across your ShipBob warehouses. Items at zero still appear, with 0.
- Which Shopify variant each item is, so stock lines up with your Shopify products.
Orders, shipments, receiving and costs aren’t imported. Stock levels start from the first sync; ShipBob doesn’t provide history.
Refresh cadence
Every hour. There’s no manual refresh.
Where ShipBob stock shows up
On the Inventory page, with a ShipBob row in the Channel column:
- Items listed as one of your Shopify variants sit under that variant, with a Shopify row and a separate ShipBob row. The ShipBob row uses the variant’s Shopify sales rate for days left. That variant gets no Total row, because ShipBob passes its stock count into Shopify and adding the two would count the same units twice.
- Items not linked to a Shopify variant get their own group, named after the ShipBob product, with no sales rate.
Matching is by ShipBob’s link to the Shopify variant, never by SKU. The column picker also offers a ShipBob Qty column, and the footer shows a total per source (Shopify, Amazon, ShipBob). See Inventory.
Disconnecting
On the Logistics settings page, turn off Enable ShipBob integration and click Save. Syncing stops, ShipBob rows and the ShipBob Qty column disappear from the Inventory page, and the tile shows Not connected. To revoke the token itself, delete it in ShipBob’s Developer Portal.
